Focus on getting food with lots of natural micronutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes, which are important to all functions in your body. Micronutrients help build your body, keeps your body young, strong and full of energy.
Make sure to get lots of natural food, lots of vegetables and fruits that gives you nourishment and energy. Choose food that is as close to the natural state as possible to make sure the nutrients still exist in the food and is not destroyed by processing.
Drinking green juices is close to the best you can do for yourself. They will give you lots of energy and supply lots of nutrients, especially minerals and chlorophyll. Green smoothies will have a positive impact on the balance to make your body less acidic, help stiffness and muscle pain. If you don’t have a juicer, you can just as well make smoothies in your blender.
Always start your day with a tall glass of water with squeezed lemon added. Drinking water in the morning will hydrate your body, give you important minerals and help your digestion after a long night sleep. Lots of people are dehydrated and symptoms such as a headache, painful joints and fatigue that vanishes as soon as the fluid balance is restored.
Only the best nutrition is good enough for you!
Ditch the food that is harmful to your beautiful body. Food with a long shelf life, in colourful packaging, cans with a long list of understandable items on the label, conservation, colours, and hydrogenated oils is doing no good in your body. Buy real food instead.
4. If you don’t know what is in your food, then don’t eat it
Don’t rely on getting healthy food that is good for you from all companies. Read labels, take control of your own healthy and make your own standards for what you allow in your food. Cheap ingredients are often not good for you but can be added to your food if you cannot see what is in it.
Sugar and quick carbs, which will degrade to sugar, makes your body older, makes you stiff, bloated, gives you inflammation in your cells, gives you wrinkles and makes you fat. You deserve something a lot better!
Your body needs at least 8 hours of sleep per night in a dark and quiet room – this is what it needs to function optimally. Reduce stress by resting or meditating every day – only 10 minutes of quiet time will make a difference.
Listen to your body’s signals: Sleep if you are tired (and leave the coffee)
Your body needs healthy food, but it also needs to be used – every day. Try to incorporate exercise into your daily routines, take the stairs, play with your kids, and walk your dog. Make exercise fun to make you enjoy using your body.
Do something you enjoy every day. Joy will repress your stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline. Increased levels of stress hormones will destroy your body over time – but enjoy that you can have fun while fighting your stress.
Changing your unhealthy habits from one day to the next is close to impossible for most people. It’s a lot easier to upgrade the unhealthy habits. Making your unhealthy habits just a bit healthier day by day will do you a lot of good in the long run. One small change at a time will make you hungry for more and will make you come a long way in the long run.
Keeping your body healthy is easier done when you are having fun and is inspired. Be curious and notice how you feel. How do you feel after being sugar-free for a week? For one month? Do I feel better – and would I feel better if I make one more small change?
